I'm trying to save energy in our home. We've switched to energy saving light bulbs and I wondered if there's an energy saving heater about. Does anyone know if there is? Any helpful comments would be appreciated. Well, I have your answer right here. To heat water, it takes a fixed amount of energy, nothing will change this. The light can be switched to a florescent, but most large aquariums already use them. Put the light on a timer sos it comes on and off only the amout of time the fish need light.

Using alternative energy sources reduces dependence on fossil fuels. Shifting the sources of power were possible will allow fossil deposits to last longer for the products that there are no practical alternative sources.
