Carbon trading is a simple concept. The government allow companies to buy a particular amount of carbon credits in the form of an allotment. Should they go past their carbon credits, but still have to release carbon discharges, they are then responsible for finding another company ready to sell or trade them more carbon credits. In this way, there will be lowered polluting methods.
