5 Ways to Save Money by Spending Money — on Waste Removal.
People say that rather than accumulating stuff, which will just break down or get old or need to be thrown away, you should spend your hard-earned money on services, on travel, on meaningful experiences. Fittingly, one of those services you might want to consider paying for is junk removal — it’s not expensive, and man can it save you some headaches. Here’s why.
#5: You’re Giving Time Back to Yourself.
Maximize your own time. Are you a professional junk remover? Are you passionate about hauling trash from one area of your house, out to your car, and then over to the dump, out of the car, and into the landfill? Probably not. Waste removal can be someone else’s job.
#4: You’d Probably Have to Pay Regardless.
Look, you’re going to pay for this stuff anyway. If you’ve got bags of soil, concrete, lots of scrap wood, paint, all sorts of other junk that needs to be specially disposed of, there’s going to be a cost involved no matter what, especially if you’re dealing with this waste removal in Toronto (although this is true of almost any big city now). So why not just have it taken care of from start to finish?
#3: You Avoid Screwing Up Your Car.
Look, do you normally use your family car as a dump truck? No. So when it comes time to get rid of all that junk, why are you suddenly pretending that it is one? If you really want your rubbish removal to be done right, don’t use your 4-door sedan in place of a proper truck. Call the professionals instead!
#2: It’s No Fun, Having Crappy Junk Lying Around In Your Place.
There’s nothing like a gigantic pile of crappy junk to make you “put it off” for another day. If there’s anything you might procrastinate on, it’s hauling rubbish to the dump. But keeping it around can have health and property consequences, so do the right thing — call the junk removal professionals and get it out of there.
#1: The Prices Are Actually Very, Very Low.
If you’re dealing with waste removal in Toronto, there are absolutely loads of companies you can choose from. Because of the level of competition, you aren’t paying through the roof for a customized service that will get rid of the junk in your house — you’re paying healthy market prices instead.
Looking for waste removal in the Toronto area? Don’t want to spend a fortune, either? Book a trash removal company online and solve your problems today!
Man-Made Diamonds Vs. Natural Mined Stones – What’s The Difference?
When considering the purchase of diamond jewelry, it is wise to understand the differences between a laboratory produced gem and a natural stone.
Old methods of synthetically creating diamonds produced stones that were far inferior to natural gems. Cubic zirconia, as they are often called, were looked down upon by the jewelry industry. However, modern technology now allows scientists to produce gem-quality cultured diamonds in laboratories all over the world. Lab created stones take a matter of days to grow, rather than the millions of years that are required by nature. The Gemological Institute of America (GIA), the leading research and grading body in gemology, recognizes some of these lab produced stones as real diamonds.
There are two basic ways that man-made gems are created. HPHT (high pressure high temperature) is a process that has been used for several decades. While this method does simulate the natural way that mother earth makes these precious stones, and physically, visually, and chemically they are almost exactly the same as those found in the earth, these synthetic stones can be identified by a trained gemologist using standard gem-testing equipment.
The newer process, called CVD (chemical vapor deposition), grows gems at low pressure and relatively low temperatures. It produces crystals that are not only suitable for faceting for jewelry purposes: they are also “purer” than those grown the HPHT way, and are more difficult to detect.
The most obvious reason for purchasing created gems is to save money. However, the amount saved will vary based on the type of stone selected. Color or “fancy” diamonds, which are extremely rare in nature, are far more available via lab created gems. While this ready availability lowers the price as compared to natural stones, high quality man-made gems are certainly not priced as inexpensively as cubic zirconia.
There is a strong movement of environmentalists and social activists who are openly declaring a preference for lab produced stones, similar to how some segments of the population prefer faux fur to hides of animals. Frequently, it is difficult to know the exact sourcing of a natural stone. As gems mined in war zones to raise money for civil wars and terrorism, commonly referred to as “blood diamonds,” comprise up to ten percent of the total supply, this is a concern for many people. What’s more, mining processes are often quite damaging to the environment. Choosing lab created stones instead is a way to ensure that the purchase won’t contribute to war, terrorism, or environmental degradation while also saving on costs.
If the authenticity of a stone is in question, there are some basic methods that can help distinguish natural from created stones. Lower price is one sign, and another is color. Most natural colored diamonds have colors that are less vivid and bright than synthetically produced gems. Also, most natural stones contain small mineral deposits called inclusions. These show up as dark spots under a jeweler’s loupe. While flawless natural stones do exist, they are rare and very expensive. Thus, a lack of inclusions may be a sign that a stone is lab produced, but is not conclusive proof.
Jewelers who advertise “cultured” gems likely offer man-made stones. Similar to cultured pearls, this is a code word which means man has interfered with the natural process. Any reputable jeweler will be happy to inform customers as to which pieces contain lab created gems.
No matter if it is due to the reduced cost, social and environmental concerns, or simply the pleasure of having a vividly colored stone that would otherwise be very difficult to obtain, there are a lot of excellent reasons why an increasing number of individuals are buying and enjoying man-made diamond jewelry.

Protecting The Future Of The Motorcycle Club World
I wrote an article a while back called “Why speak to the Motorcycle Clubs in your area before starting a new MC?” It was about why those wishing to start new Motorcycle Clubs should go and speak to those who have come before them. If you have not read the article look it up on my March 2009 archive page on NY-Biker.com
Since then, I’ve begun seeing and hearing some things that worry me. I have seen many groups popping up. Some of these groups have names like Lone Wolf or Independent Riders. While I suppose the names are meant to distance these groups from real motorcycle clubs, they still resemble legitimate clubs in the way they dress, and to a certain degree, the way they act.
Now I am sure some of you are saying “hey LJ these guys just want to do their own thing back off a bit, what really is the harm in what these guys are doing?” Well that’s the Million dollar Question! Exactly what is the real harm? Let me see if I can explain how I see it.
If you put on a uniform, pinned on a badge and hung out at Dunkin Donuts you may look like and act like a cop but you would not be a real cop. When a real cop saw you, You would probaly be in a lot of trouble!
Now due to High Gas Prices, The Economy, and people waking up to the fact that riding a Motorcycle is one of the Greatest things in the world, the ranks of motorcycle riders have exploded. Many of these new riders see shows like Sons Of Anarchy, Gangland or movies like Hell Ride and think, “This is cool, I’m going to start a Club” even though they know nothing about Motorcycle Clubs or the Biker lifestyle.
Shows like Sons of Anarchy are a fictional dramatization of what a group of television writers think a Motorcycle Club is. Programs like Gangland claim to investigate 1%er Clubs. Their “investigation consists of looking up every little Crime members of a 30 year old Motorcycle Club have ever been accused of and then Squeeze all the Negative info about the MC into about 45 Minutes of air time.
The concern is that you have new and independent riders forming “Clubs” with no real knowledge of what it means to be a member of a Motorcycle Club. Some of these clubs are forming with only shows like SOA and Gangland as the model for what a Motorcycle Club should be.
Being a member of a Motorcycle Club is about Brotherhood, Loyalty, Respect, Freedom, and Honor. It’s not about Drugs, Guns, and Biker Wars.
In the Motorcycle Club world you start off as either a prospect for an established Motorcycle Club or your new MC starts off as a Supporter of a established MC and they help to teach you what it truly means to be a Member of a Motorcycle Club.
It’s like an artist taking on an apprentice and passing on what he has learned. The knowledge he passes on has been passed on down to him for Hundreds of Generations.
Now where the danger lies is the art being taught can be thousands of years old but, It only takes one generation of not passing the right information down and the art is lost forever!
With the creation of so many pseudo MC’s, We risk a danger a lot worse than losing the art of what a Motorcycle Club is all about , We risk watching the Mutation of the World We all Love turned into something as ugly as the negative, hyped up TV Shows and movies we’ve all seen.
If your thinking about starting a Motorcycle Club or want to join one, start by talking to local Club members you see at events or contact established Clubs directly. Every MC has its own set of rules, etc, but if you’re serious about becoming an MC or MC Member, you’ll have no problem finding the situation that is right for you. As I said in the beginning, I have no problem with people starting their own Clubs. It’s just that starting a Motorcycle Club is something that should be done the right way and not be taken lightly. Let us work together to Preserve the Heritage of the Motorcycle Club world and make it stronger, not destroy it.

Bikers The Last Free Americans
Whenever a person or group of people try to live their lives free, those who are stuck in unhappy lives will be jealous. Some people have a hard time letting go, freeing themselves from the day to day trials and tribulations of everyday life even for a little while. Others seek an escape from the stress and anxiety often associated with modern day life.
I guess for me, that’s part of why I am a Biker. There is something about riding a bike that inspires a sense of freedom in me. The open road, the wind in my face, the smells, getting back to nature, the power of my bike. It’s all these things and more that make me feel free. It’s unfortunate that there are some people who, for whatever reason, can’t find something or someway to let go and experience the sense of freedom that we do. These people, for whatever reason, are the ones who point to us and call us rogues or rebels. They say that what we are doing is wrong and that our culture is a “disruptive influence.”
As Bikers, we live our lives a little differently. We work and have responsibilities, but we still know the feeling of freedom. Maybe its because we smile just a bit more and are a bit more relaxed that turns these people green with envy?
A person who works hard and has no free time sees a person on the road riding his or her motorcycle and thinks “I wish that was me!” The thought of being free doesn’t leave their mind. They long for it. They crave it badly! How many of you out their have had a friend tell you how they have always wanted to buy a Motorcycle and just go out riding? How many of them ever actually do?
Here is a typical story : A man is driving home from work when he see’s a group of motorcycle riders pull up next to him. He looks at this group of people riding together having a great time, He starts to think, “I wish that was me”. He then decides, “I’m going to buy a Motorcycle!” He starts thinking about riding. How great it will be to have his wife on the back of his bike and the wind in his face. We could ride up to the lake or maybe that little motel way up in the Mountains. Thinking of the great times he will have he starts to feel that small sense of freedom. He thinks “This must be what those Biker get to feel, Wow!”
He turns into the driveway, parks his truck and rushes into the house to tell his wife about his fantastic idea. “Hi honey, I’m going to buy a Motorcycle.” His wife looks at him and says “What? Did you get overwhelmed by the fumes at work again?” “You can’t ride a Motorcycle. The man answers back, “I’ll learn!”
“You must be crazy”, she says. “Those things are death traps! You will kill yourself and we can’t afford it!” “Honey this is something I really want” replies the man. “NO NO NO!!! I won’t have one of those things in my house! What kind of message would it send to the kids, our neighbors?”
They argue about it, but it the end, the man never gets his motorcycle. He never goes to the lake with his wife or takes that trip up to the little motel in the mountains. He never feels the real sense of freedom one can only get when taking a long trip on a motorcycle. He spends the rest of his life wishing he had never seen that group of Motorcycles. He is angry and bitter.
Now when he see’s Bikers he puts them down. He hates Bikers, not because of who or what they are, but because of what he can never be. He hates them because of what they represent. They represent a kind of freedom, sense of belonging, a oneness with nature and the world that he longs for, he craves, but can never have.
We live here in America, the home of the free, but many are not free. They have never experienced the sense of freedom that can only be experienced on two wheels and, for whatever reason, never will. They live boring, uneventful. “safe” lives and complain about those who don’t.
Don’t hate these envious people, pity them for they will never know the sense of freedom and brotherhood we get from riding with a group of our Bro’s. They’ll never know the wind in their face, the feeling of peace and oneness with nature we feel as we ride threw the country side or down a long lonely highway. They’ll never know the clarity of mind that comes from a long ride alone or the closeness and bond of a long ride or weekend away with someone special. Just thank your higher power that you’ve found a way to escape, a way to be free, even if for some it’s just on the weekends.
Ride Safe and Ride Free because when it all come down to it, this is all about the Ride!

Correct Knowledge On Water Treatment
Water treatment is extremely crucial. It makes the water suitable for human consumption. After all you know that water is needed for numerous purposes like drinking, bathing, cleaning, medical process, industrial process, etc. Hence the water that we drink must be of the best possible quality, and that’s why water treatment is completely necessary. This article will focus on the significance of industrial water treatment system.
Industrial water treatment can be group into boiler water treatment, cooling water treatment, and wastewater treatment. The majority of the water-based industrial processes are optimized by water treatment – with that way the working costs and risks of cooling, heating, processing, cleaning and rinsing are much reduced. Throughout the industrial water treatment system, the water ought to not to be allowed to interact with the surfaces of the pipes and the vessels in which it’s contained. This is due to they may come into contact with corrosion, which will destroy the purity of the water.
It is vital during the industrial water treatment system that the water be treated correctly, otherwise there can be an encouragement of growth of bacteria – this will cause Legionnaires’ infection. Water treatment is used to enhance water condition that comes into contact with the manufactured product – for example, semiconductors, or water as part ingredients of beverages, pharmaceuticals, etc. Hence that is why only the finest water should be produced, otherwise there can be defective products go into the market. We want safe drinking water, and for that, good hygiene needs to be maintained in the industrial water treatment system.
In many case, sewage water from one part of the process might be appropriate for the purpose of reuse in other process elsewhere on the site. This should be treated properly, with that way a large proportion of industrial on-site wastewater could be reused instead of going to waste. This means that charges for water consumption would decrease, much less fluent water would be discharged, and the energy costs would be lowered as well. This is why the industrial water treatment system needs to be done correctly.
Basically any industrial water treatment system needs to control four basic things – scaling, corrosion, microbiological activity as well as residual wastewater. Water treatment is important due to the water comes straight to the people, for numerous uses, and if the water isn’t treated properly, the results are sickness and disease.
Apart from, the industrial water treatment system, the residual wastewater needs to be disposed of correctly – this is sometimes a rather difficult proposition. But you’d be happy to find out that several of the petroleum refineries out there and many chemical and petrochemical plants have on-site facilities which treat the wastewater effectively.
Industrial water treatment systems might also deal with sewage treatment – that seeks to get rid of contaminants from the wastewater or sewage, so making it suitable for the natural environment. In developing countries, waterborne diseases cause millions of deaths each year. Therefore a proper public health sanitation system is required – hence an appropriate type of water treatment is required.
Pristine Waters Sdn Bhd was established in year 2000 and its fundamental business is in supplying, designing, installing and commissioning of water and wastewater treatment plants. In the past years, Pristine Waters Sdn Bhd has undertaken numerous projects and contracts in building and operating Water and Waste Water Treatment plants in Malaysia and oversea.
Is Your Company As Green As It Should Be?
It is a fact that companies who take a clean and green approach to the way that they operate are more trusted by customers, and the public in general, and also incur fewer costs. What then can be done to become an environmentally friendly company?
Reduce Waste Where Possible – Practically every company produces waste of some sort, whether it be paper or left over raw products, and where there is waste, there is a way of reducing it. Being more careful and precise when creating products, using less packaging, and sending invoices electronically, are just a few examples of ways that wastage can be reduced.
Re-Use Paper – Paper is the most wasted item in most companies, despite it being relatively easy to re-use, or to not use at all. A few ideas to consider are printing on both sides of a piece of paper, keeping scrap paper next to the printer for use for internal / test documents, and sending emails rather than letters.
Purchase Recycled Paper – Producing one tonne of recycled paper saves 3000 liters of water and 78% energy use. Air emissions of gases such as CO2 are cut by 95% and there is less pollution because recycled paper is not bleached with chlorine. As for purchasing recycled paper, it is no more expensive than virgin paper, and nowadays the quality is as good.
Recycle Printer Cartridges – Around 2 million printer cartridges are discarded every year. Recycling cartridges is easy as many suppliers offer a return scheme for used cartridges. Using recycled toner cartridges reduces demand for raw materials and they can be purchased for as little as half the price of non-recycled cartridges.
Re-Use Plastic Cups – Plastics are harmful to the environment both when they are produced (various chemicals are emitted) and when they are disposed of (taking hundreds of years to decompose). Therefore, it really is inexcusable to not re-use the same plastic cup throughout the day, or to even do away with plastic cups altogether and just use mugs instead.
Recycle Aluminum – Aluminum can be recycled indefinitely, and the production of a recycled aluminum product emits just 5% of the amount of CO2 that is emitted when a brand new aluminum product is produced. So, considering the benefits, surely setting up an aluminum collection point next to vending machines, and in canteen areas, is the right thing to do.
