Mitsu Become Electric: 2010 Mitsubishi i MIEV @ 2008 NYAS

www.edmunds.com Listen carefully and you might hear the slight whir of its motor, the hint of wind noise and a faint thrum from the tires. Think whisper; that’s how quiet this minicar is. Could this be the sound of future driving? If Mitsubishi has its way, then this Mitsubishi i MIEV — a test bed for an electric vehicle scheduled to be introduced for 2010 — makes a pretty strong case for it. This particular car is one of a 30-vehicle test fleet that’s running around Tokyo right now.

Well were i live this lil ugly car isn’t going anywhere in the snow.
Why do all these electric cars have to be so god damned ugly?
Is this going to be a review? Max speed, torque, acceleration, bhp, range? Anyone?
so want this car already to be industrized…
The “wrong side” was supposed to be a joke. It would have sounded weird to say on “the right side”, since it sounds to much like “the correct side”.
As of today – 2010 May 4 – there is still no commercially available & affordable ($10,000 to $20,000) electric-only vehicle in the United States that is allowe to drive on all roads that gas cars can. It is sickening. All the fault of the oil companies & big automakers all those who support them: everyone who votes for a Democrat & Republican instead of a Socialist, Green or Libertarian.
Cool video !
????????? Japan, free Peter Bethune! Boycott all Japanese products until their? whale and dolphin killing stops.
the tesla gets 500k from a recharge.

Maybe Brian Moody isn’t such a great driver – be funny if he got in a wreck or something.
Really? He mentions the placement of the steering wheel? It’s Japan specs! What a tool you are, Moody.
looks nice
… So Americans drive on the ‘Wrong side’ of the road? These people crack me up. Notice he didn’t say “The steering wheel is on the Right Side” That would have totally confused these people here in the US
The fucking idiot comments how the car is Japanese, then he comments on the steering wheel being on the wrong side???
Please someone slap this retard…
Brian Moody – HA!
thats amazing,if mitsubishi start to sell a lot that car and it proves its reliable and it has high quality ,the company can grow up more perhaps sell that the other japanese automakers
what makes me mad about this is that they can build a BETTER LOOKING CAR!!! I mean come on that shit is UGLY!!!.. people would buy the car but at least put some taste on on it.. dont just build a car that looks like an egg.. am 100% sure that if they build a car better looking like telsa model S people would be more interested in the car.. but this! COME ON!!!!!
nice car,anything but gas.

Looks a lot like a Nano clone to me
These cars are being kept off the road until govts have the systems in place to tax us in alternative ways to get the revenue they would have got from petrol. Toll roads big-time meethinks? Also, they will initially be selling us obsolete slow junk to begin with knowing that we’ll have to keep upgrading to get a decent car. This will be phased over several years even though the ultimate technology the perfect electric car is here right now. It will be annoyingly phased-in for profit!
Its funny how left hand car drivers think that a steering wheel on the right is wrong when for overtaking purposes alone it makes perfect sense from a safety viewpoint.
After I get my driving licence ! I´m buying that car !! Why wait for another Oil Crisis !?!
Some fotovoltaic panel on the roof, help the battery, some in summer when have hot in car, for climatic system who starter whithout the our presence. See for example the Pininfarina Bollore’ BO. Bye Bye

1.00 GBP = 1.50953 USD so $75.48
How much is 50 quid in US dollars?
Yay! This video totally made me smile
I had a horrible morning and this made my day
Thanks!
thought 80 miles is nothing compared to what the Tesla roadster does on the other hand a full recharge is only 7 hours where the Tesla needs 16. but in all fairness and something that was not mentioned the production of batteries is far from “green” there’s still allot of chemicals used to produce batteries (even Lithium needs acids to create and generate) so on the being “green” not really but is is a step forward I admit. nice car but a rather high price.
They do look very alike. I rather drive this than a nano, since I know its built by and designed by competent workers
No they share not parts. Totally different companies. Its just the shape is the max use of a small volume
looks like the tata nano same body?
They need to have a bigger cable for charging if it’s going to be that long. Of course that’s heavier for the car to carry around.
