Benefits Of Biofuels In Home And Office Heating
Today sounds the cry to help our environment and to “go green” and everyone in the world is looking to contribute. No different in this is the home heating industry. Taking charge in the community in providing customers with Bioheat options for homes and businesses is what energy companies are looking to do.
Derived from vegetable oils or animal fats is a new form of fuel (Biodiesel) which is a renewable resource. After converting their offices to Bioheat, and in the vein of helping the environment, Pullum/Sibling Energy is also offering their customers this option.
Bioheat’s advantages are numerous. The fuel emits 83 percent less sulfur emissions when it makes up only 20% of the fuel mixture (said fuel referred to as B20). This B20 mixture reduces nitrogen oxide by 20% and carbon dioxide by 16%. We all know that carbon dioxide is global warming’s major contributor. Biofuels used for Bioheat do produce carbon dioxide, but the plants used to derive the fuel actually remove a greater amount of carbon dioxide during their lifespan. The effect in making Biofuel actually removes carbon dioxide from our environment, which actually helps to reverse atmospheric levels of C02.
Often requiring modifications is a heating system that runs on 100% Biofuel. B20 fuel can work with existing fuel oil burners and is readily available. Usually between 2-5% is the increase over the course of a year, which is minimal, and the effects using this fuel has on the environment are positive and a great choice for those consumers worrying about our environment.
Energy company Pullum/Sibling Energy is finding responsibility in using Biofuel in all their applications as possible, and will lead the heating industry, also, in the direction of helping the environment, the “green” way.
