So far I've researched Fuel Cell Energies, which partly runs on natural gas. I've also researched Solar Powered Energies which as we know relies on the Sun. . What are some good long term stocks or funds within alt. Energies? Do you think alt. Energies are a promising investment? I'd feel great knowing I'm helping invest into a Go Green company while making some $. From what I can tell… I don't really know what the best investment is but don't forget about wind power. I believe one of the leading corp. 's on that is Invenergy if you want to look them up.

Do you think alternative energy resources have a bright future?is the phase of technological innovation of these alternative energy resources fast enough. From what I can tell… No doubt about it. Solar power technology is projected to become 40% more efficient by 2010, and offshore wind power is becoming a viable option. California is a great example. In fact, just yesterday I was checking out the energy mix from my utility company (PG&E). They get 34% of their energy from renewable sources, 24% from nuclear, 40% from natural gas, and just 1% from coal: Congress just passed legislation to require power companies to get 15% of their power from renewables and with global warming getting more and more attention, the future of renewable energy is very bright.

Or just have another hissy fit. I think I found an answer. So major businesses like FedEx and Toyota converting to solar power and zero waste facilities isn't paying serious attention to alternative fuels? Nor is the construction of the world's largest wind power facilities in the Midwest. Apparently neither is the research by the US Air Force into hydrogen engines for aircraft. These less publicized stories are the proof that we do take our situation seriously. Like the rest of the world however we have not found a fuel as inexpensive and powerful as fossil fuels. Get off our back so we can actually attempt to change ourselves for the better while retaining our freedoms and values.
